PARISH SOCIAL MINISTRY

The Parish Social Ministry is a group of dedicated parishioners who desire to serve the Church and society and in particular to have concern for those most in need in our community.  Here is a brief overview of most of the projects our Social Ministry is currently involved in:

Advent Giving Trees

Seasonal

Gifts and gift cards are collected for various charitable organizations within our loval community.

Food Collections

North and South Campuses

There are bins out monthly at St. Thomas Becket Church and continuously at St. Bridget Church for donations to the Cheshire Community Food Pantry.

Friends Feeding Friends

Call the Rectory at 203-272-3531 to volunteer!

On site provision, preparation, and serving of noon meals on Saturdays at the Saint Vincent DePaul Soup Kitchen on Baldwin St. in Waterbury.

Harvest Garden

South Campus

This garden is maintained to provide fresh produce to the Cheshire Community Food Pantry.

Shelter Sandwiches

Call the Rectory at 203-272-3531 to volunteer!

150 sandwiches, made at home, are delivered to a local drop off point and taken to the Saint Vincent DePaul Shelter in Waterbury.
